Neither did I. Not that I would have red hair but we didn't get a choice about being a widow.
Alone in a rural cottage with no neighbors within my sight, I consider my options. With my son's help, I found a house at the beach for rent for exactly 7 months. That would give me a year of being a widow to decide whether I would go or stay, permanently.
The house I rented has a totally beach theme with the exception of what I call 'the bunk room' which is a child's room with a Navy theme in red, white and blue.
Otherwise, the entire house is decorated with sea creatures, seahorses being the most prevalent.
When I made friends with Esmerelda next door and she visited, she told me that seahorses are Good Luck.
